Fishing, Crabbing and Powerboat Rentals

Offering Boat Rentals for use on the Chesapeake Bay and Local Inland Waters
to Residents, Visitors, Tourists & Vacation Home renters that are in the
St. Michaels, Oxford, Easton, Cambridge and Kent Island areas

General Overview

All boats are new, top of the line in quality and professionally maintained. All but Rental Boats #2 & #3 are center console Carolina Skiffs equipped with 4-Stroke Yamaha outboard motors that are optioned with electric start and power tilt/trim which means they are easy to operate, quiet running, clean burning and very fuel efficient. All boats are very easy to maneuver, extremely stable, smooth riding and shallow draft. Most are outfitted with a Chesapeake Bay Fishing & Crabbing License which allows everyone aboard to legally fish or crab the Chesapeake Bay and its tributaries. Customers generally use them for fishing, crabbing, exploring, touring, sightseeing, picnicking, sun-lounging, swimming, or visiting restaurants for waterside dinning.

State law requires that all children under the age of 13 years wear a life jacket (PFD) while onboard. Life jackets are included with all rental boats but special attention is paid to small children under 90 pounds to ensure proper sizing and fit.

All boat renters must be at least 18 years old in order to sign our rental contract however operators can be of any age as long as they participate in the orientation process.

Rental Boats are not allowed to operate at night due to an abundance of non-lit hazards like crab pots, fish nets, non-lighted aids to navigation, etc.

Half-day rentals last up to 4 hours, you choose either AM or PM periods. Full-day rentals last to the end of the business day.

All powerboat rental customers are assigned an appointment time. Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior in order to complete the checkout process.

All equipment must be returned to our docks by 5pm.

FYI - If you were born after July 1, 1972 the State of Maryland requires that you have completed an authorized boating safety course and have your certificate of completion on-person when operating power boats on Maryland state waters. We are authorized by Maryland State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to issue you a temporary 10 day Boating Safety Certificate however we need you to have some boating experience and also go through our orientation process when renting a boat ... there is no charge for this service. If you do not already have a boating license and do not have at least some boating experience, it is not likely that we will rent you a boat. So be sure to bring your boating license with you and be prepared to spend about 45 minutes while going through our orientation process on the day of your boat rental. Follow link below to take the free Maryland Boating Safety Course to get your boating license prior to your appointment day/time..

IMPORTANT NOTE: US Coast Guard regulations relating to the "Maximum Persons" rental boats can have onboard changed in 2020. They now limit the maximum number of people any rental boat can have onboard to 13 people even when the boat's capacity plate designates a greater number. This is a national regulation applicable to all boat rentals throughout the US, not just to Maryland rentals.

This boat is perfect for experienced boaters who are serious about fishing or for those who wish to explore distant locations like Kent Island or the Little Choptank River. Of course all local areas like St. Michaels, Oxford and Kent Narrows are also available with a much shorter drive time.

Rental Boat #2 - Details

This is by far our most luxurious rental boat and for that reason she is not rented to anyone for fishing or crabbing. The 150hp Honda 4-Stroke outboard motor provides a top end of about 40mph with 2 people onboard. She'll still do well over 30mph even with a full load of 13 people. As with most 4-stroke motors, she is quiet running, clean burning and fuel efficient while being easy to operate, extremely stable, smooth riding and shallow draft.

This is a custom built luxury liner designed to accommodate large groups, families and couples who want comfort for their day on the water. She was built to replace our pontoon boats which were found to be inferior for operating on the Chesapeake Bay. Not only is she significantly faster but also far more stable and seaworthy. The design goal was to provide the shallow draft and seaworthiness of a Carolina Skiff with the ease of operation and comfort of a pontoon boat ... she has far exceeded all expectations and continually complimented by renters.

This boat is perfect for folks with a reasonable amount of boating experience that wish to spend the day exploring, sightseeing, picnicking, sun-lounging, swimming or visiting a waterfront restaurant for lunch or dinner in comfort. She is fast enough to explore distant locations like Kent Island, Wye River or the Little Choptank River as well as all local areas like St. Michaels, Oxford and Kent Narrows.

> 30 Gallon gas tank

NOTE: Although the boat's capacity plate specifies a capacity of 18 people, the US Coast Guard limits rental boats to no more than 13 people total, regardless of the capacity plate's specification.
